On stage at the Dubai Airshow 2025: airports of tomorrow
Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be on stage at the Dubai Airshow last week, across two conversations that touched the core of how airports of tomorrow will move, connect, and scale. It was an honour to moderate a session on smart transport and passenger mobility within airports, and to share perspectives and best practices on capacity optimisation and demand balancing, including my views on IATA’s DIPIP (Domestic and International passenger integration program) study.
Humbled to have shared the stage and learned from colleagues and seniors from across the world, John Dyett, Tatsuya Izumi, Claus Grunow, Sukhvir S. Mavi, Ismail H. Polat, Jin Yang Tan, and Nico Castagna.
Congrats to the Government of Dubai and to Informa for a record edition of the event, 250,000 visitors, 200+ aircraft on display, and over $200 billion in announced orders.
It was great to be back on stage. Glory to God, and dedicating this moment to my grandfather, who bought me my first airline ticket and stoked the passion that brought me here.
Yet the week also carried a deeply heavy moment with the Tejas LCA crashing during a flying display, a crushing incident I saw unfold in front of my eyes. Thoughts remain with Wing Commander Syal’s family.
For those interested in the outcomes of these discussions, I’ll share briefs in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
