KKIA is the world’s most punctual airport: 86.65% on-time departures

“Whilst it is easy to announce grand plans and new investments, Riyadh Airport is delivering excellence already.” Willy’s words perfectly encapsulate the achievement/s of King Khalid International Airport (KKIA), named the most punctual airport globally in Cirium's 2024 On-Time Performance Review, achieving an 86.65% on-time departure rate across 240,990 tracked flights.

While passengers value on-time arrivals, on-time departures are a critical KPI for airports, ensuring efficient slot utilization, fewer knock-on delays, and improved customer experience.

A shout-out to all involved in this collective win, especially the incredible teams at Riyadh Airports and all stakeholders in the RUH airport ecosystem, from airlines and GHSPs to the ANSP.

Adding to this milestone, KKIA has moved up to Level 4 of ACI's customer experience accreditation recently.
